How it ranks
The HOKA Bondi 7 is one of the strongest daily trainers in our data. Comfort and cushioning are its strongest sub-ratings. Looks scores well below its other sub-ratings. The rating rests on 25 runner reviews and 6 other rated shoes in the Bondi product line.
Confidence
How settled the rating is against every other rated shoe. A shoe can rate high on confidence with relatively few reviews of its own when its product line has a long record and external ratings from retailer sites agree. Confidence will score low when we have few ratings or when runners disagree.

“The Bondi 7 helped place me back on my mid-forefoot, without the aggressive rock to the toes I didn't want.”
“Center rocker requires patience during transition from other shoes, but the rewards from reduced injuries well worth it.”
“The engineered design is supportive and cushiony, but not a boat.”
“Had off-and-on Achilles issues until I started wearing Hokas many years ago. None since.”
“The sole has a firmness that doesn't bend at the mid-foot like most shoes.”
“Very good cushioning, but don't feel clunky”
“The cushion fades at about 200-250 miles.”
“Very stable, yet also responsive on tempo runs.”

20 mpw training for a half marathon

I have owned six pairs of HOKAS. The B7 has been my overall favorite for running and just wearing. Being a coach and PE teacher for 28 years has kept me on my feet a lot. HOKAS have saved me time and time again! Nothing is better. Worth the price!

25 mpw training for 5K and 10K came from the Nike Pegasus 41

Overall
I've been wearing Hoka's since the orig Bondi, and have been through 6 pairs of the 7s. I'm a 40's hobby jogger, and the 7s are easy to adjust to fit my narrow feet well, fit my orthotics easily, good cushioning on my missing-meniscus knees, and I've taken the 7s out on two road marathons and several runs. I usually only get about 250 miles on them before I notice they start to break down though. That is not as long as some of the earlier Bondi's last, but I really like the cushioning for good recovery and support on the run ( did not like the 8s, so went back to the 7s)

25 mpw training for a marathon came from the HOKA Bondi 8

Overall
I do not wear this shoe for running. I have some complex issues caused by injury. I also own the Bondi eight my preference, however, is for the Bondi seven because it has a little narrow out so and I like the comfort level and I feel more at home in this shoe. Both shoes have been through quite a lot, but I find that the more structured upper on the Bondi seven is longer lasting and is generally more comfortable the Bondi 8 he is not as stable as Shoe. It allows for a lot more movement in the upper part of the shoe. I also prefer the cushion in the Bondi seven.
