Love the comfort, fit, and cushion of the Clifton 9 but like too many Hoka shoes I’m disappointed with the short wear life. I apply shoe goo to the heels to extend the life of the shoes.

I had not run in Hoka before this year. First I purchased the Mach V for shorter and speedier efforts. Then I picked up the Clifton 9. The cushioning is amazing. The fit is spot on and couldn’t be happier with the purchase.

I’ve tried lots of different shoes over the years and had lots of gait analyses but I have never found a shoe as comfortable and diverse as Hokas. At the minute I’m on Clifton 9s; they’re so comfortable and I always find I have less joint pain when I’m Hokas.

Best shoe ever for a guy who started out running barefoot 60 years ago. But since they wear out so fast, I have to be selective when they are worn. Only use them for racing and easy shake outs the day before.
