Overall

Bought the shoe for workouts, road races, and some XC races. It is awesome for all three. On grass, it feels like you have a good deal of traction, while still being more protected than you would be in spikes. If you run on courses with any gravel or pavement, this shoe is perfect. On the track and road, it is super responsive. My stride feels very good and smooth when I run in this shoe, but I think it's because I don't generally run in a shoe with as low a drop (4mm) as this one. In summary- A very good shoe for 5k-10k racing, possibly half marathon if you are light/have good form. I think it is perfect for shorter fartleks, tempos, and repeats 400m+

The great allrounder. Good for most track work and road racing up to the half. When the pop goes out, wear them out as daily trailers.

Using this shoe for racing and faster workouts, including tempos. Use the Brooks Launch for a normal trainer. This shoe has a nice blend of cushion and responsiveness for faster running; good transition during ground contact. Just enough underfoot so that road racing feels comfortable, but yet low enough to the ground for a good feel. It also worked very well for cross country courses that were hardpacked or gravel. Despite having a wide forefoot this shoe still fit well and was surprised by that; the upper mesh in the forefoot area has some stretch to it.
