Most comfortable shoe I've ever run in

Anonymous runner · Sep 28, 2025

5/5

Overall

I ran in vomeros in college, but after I graduated and wasn't getting them for free went back to the much cheaper pegs or NBs I had discounts for. Then I heard from old teammates that whatever Nike did to update the shoe was causing everyone to have achilles issues so I didn't feel the need to check them out again.

Got some pegasus 41s last summer and was very happy with them, but when they were getting close to shot I swapped them out for the new vomeros and was pleasantly surprised at how fast the clunkers were. I guess it's the zoomx foam. They are super comfortable and more durable than I remember Vomero 6s etc being.

They are a little unstable, but I was able to do some serious trail runs without any serious ankle turns.

Overall

In my younger days of running in the 80's I was a Nike guy, I just would not wear anything else.  Over the years I felt Nike had over relied on marketing hype and their shoes didn't match the hype.  I decided to take a chance again and after some study (not too intense) I decided to go with the Vomero 18, based on reviews and honestly aesthetics'.  I have not been disappointed, the shoes look and feel great.  I've had bilateral knee replacement and need a cushioned shoe.  I only run 3 days a week, but I have to say they feel great, I have not been disappointed.  As always, I bought a 1/2 size bigger.
