Overall

Good shoe overall, and am happy with it in general. I’ve been running in the Endorphin Pro for a few years and my feet/legs are very used to their feel, so am not looking to move to another, but would switch if I found something better. Did try two different carbon plated Nikes but really did not like either and gave them away.

Best race shoe for the price

I picked these up for $40 on clearance when the Endorphin Pro 3s came out, and have so far worn them for 3 half marathons and 3 5Ks, and I’m very happy with the fit and performance. At the same time, I picked up some Endorphin Speed 2 for long run training for $30, so I’ve been able to use the Pro exclusively for races. Great shoe!

Great Shoe, not the GOAT, but Close

The Saucony Endorphin Pro 2 was my first carbon plated shoe. It was a total game changer. At first I saved it for racing and the occasional track workout. After ~200 miles I started using it for a variety of runs. This shoe helped me improve from a 42min 10k, 20min 5k, and 1:32 half to a 38:xx, 18:0x, and 1:27. This shoe was a joy to run in. Felt good at all paces. No issues with durability, and I got ~450 miles out of my first pair. If you can still find them for < $100, it is a steal.

Downside is that the foam is not as soft as something like the VF2, but not a big deal to me. I would highly recommend these to anyone.

Pales In Comparison to Nike Supershoes

Overall

These shoes are fine. They're reasonably comfortable, and they do feel speedier than your garden variety training shoe. But compared to the Vaporflys, they fall down. The difference is night and day. If you're looking for a supershoe, spring for the Nikes.
