Highly Under Rated Shoe from Skechers

UA Runner · Jan 24, 2019

5/5

Overall

The Razor 2 running shoes are outstanding. I used the first version, and then bought this current version Razor 2 and they didn't let me down. They are very light, the FlightGen cushioning in the midsole is very responsive. I use these for everything from fast intervals on the track, to tempo runs and have run them in a marathon.. although I wouldn't do that again. Up to about 13 miles I think is ideal for this shoe. Quick, firm steps with great rebound on impact. The upper is very comfortable. I have run some of my best workouts in the Razor 2. They last a long time as well and have great traction. Excellent product.

Skechers Razor 2 review

Overall

Pros: - responsive ride - lightweight and very good cushioning for the weight - comfortable, breathable upper Cons: - thin rubber wears away fairly quickly in some areas. For me, the outside of each heel wears away faster in these than in most shoes.

Initially Positive Experience Went Downhill Fast

aji0815 · Feb 7, 2018

2/5

Overall

Upon first run, the GoMeb Razor felt like a great shoe. It was light with a type of "flyknit" upper and was fairly responsive at faster paces on the roads. Over time however, the shoe began to apply more and more pressure to my arch, beating up my heels and causing considerable foot pain in my plantar-fascia. The shoe is fairly minimalist in design, there is no posting to be found, and the upper feels as though it is purely designed to strap the foot down with little regard for posts or other supports found in even a lightweight neutral shoe. I wish I could say I like the Razor more, as I know several quick runners who do, but unfortunately my experience was less than stellar.
