Not the place for knit uppers

When Skechers went to the GOKnit uppers I had to drop a half size down. It isn't even so much the length, but the width and looseness of the knit material. While comfortable, it isn't suited for a racing flat. I like my speed shoes to be snug and the fact that the material seems to stretch more when wet can make this difficult. The rest of the shoe is improved though. More rubber on the outsole makes it seem durable, even if they aren't the grippiest shoes. I always found them cushioned enough for long, fast workouts. They aren't improved enough for me to give them a try in the marathon after my attempt with the 3's.
Still a solid workout shoe that should last a while at a great value (easy to find under $50 before the 5's were even released).
