Rating breakdown

Better Shoes score out of 100. Shading shows the expected rating range.
?

Rankings combine runner ratings, whether reviewers say they'd buy a shoe again, direct comparisons to other shoes, related product-line performance, and trusted external ratings.

The darker band shows the central score range. The lighter band shows a wider range of reasonable outcomes. More reviews for this shoe usually narrow both bands.

I prefer a light responsive shoe, even if sacrificing cushioning. This line works for me.

Very minimal, not durable but light and cheap

amkelley · Feb 27, 2018

Overall

I bought this shoe after being pleased with the Skechers Go Run Ride. The Go Meb Speed has a similar fit but is much less cushioned, in fact hardly cushioned at all. I feel every little piece of gravel in the road. It is very light, and feels great for running on a track or on very smooth pavement. Durability is poor. I normally get around 1000 miles on a pair of shoes (I'm slow, light, and have big feet for my weight) but at about 200 miles these already show considerable wear in the soles under the balls of the foot and I'm guessing they'll be retired before 300 miles. At least they were cheap.

Floppy

Overall

This shoe is light and nota bad start for skechers but pales in comparison to bigger brands' racing flats. Too heavy, not that resposive, heel-to-toe was just kind of floppy. Didn't feel very fast in them. Still completed a marathon in them so they can't be that bad I guess.
