Overall

I ordered the same shoe about three years in a row and it felt like pounding a hammer into my foot with every step. There was no give or bounce off the ground. Then I started physical therapy and I showed them an old pair of sketchers and and other shoes. He said I should be running in the sketchers despite them being at least 11 years old and well-worn. So, after getting stronger calves I added a pair of green superfeet inserts to these Sketchers GOrun 5s and I'm pretty much good to go with a little cushioning comfort in my stride. It ain't like the 1970s, but I've got a chance to enjoy running again!

Overall

I've used Skechers Go Run since the 1st model (which incidentally was my favourite one). Skecher have the annoying habit of completely re-designing the Go Run shoe every year so that it in no way resembles the look and feel of the previous model. This is their best shoe since the 1st model. It's a comfortable fit and the upper material is light and breathable. The sole however is not very durable and begins to wear very quickly after a few runs.
