Exactly What I was Looking For

5/5

Overall

I was looking for a light weight, moderately stiff, low drop shoe that was comfortable and reasonably priced and the topo fli-lyte delivered exactly what I wanted. I have had the longest injury-free stretch of running (1 year, 1350 miles) that I have had as an adult, and a large part of that is how well these shoes compliment my stride. I tend to land towards the front of my foot, and the low drop and moderate stack height feel great. I tried switching back to my old gel cumulus (asics) one day when I left the fli-lytes at the office, and it felt like running in heeled boots. I would recommend these (or the fli-lyte 2's if you can find them) to anyone but the clunkiest of heel-strikers.

Great Shoe - Light, Cushioned and Comfy

5/5

Overall

This is my go to shoe for most runs. It not only has the Topo wide toe box it is also a great fitting shoe that has just the right amount of cushioning and is light enough to be a great marathon shoe. Cushioning and feel is an upgrade from the Fli-Lyte 2.

Free Your Feet

5/5

Overall

I love my Brooks, Asics, Hoka's, and Adidas running shoes but these Topo Fli-Lyte's are made correctly for the feet! I always get my toes squeezed in other shoes but have just accepted it as normal all these years. THEN I tried on a pair of the Fli-Lyte's and was amazed out how much wider the toe box is. This made for comfortable running. Also the drop from head to toe on these shoes is minimal making for a more natural stride and foot strike. The cushioning is good, maybe not as much as most Hoka's but very adequate. It remains to be seen if this shoe is durable compared to most Brook's and Asics I have worn. It reminds me of the Adidas Supernova (now defunct) in comfort but with the wide toebox and minimal drop. I highly recommend these shoes. They are light weight enough for racing 5K and up.
