Brooks Adrenaline 19

5/5

Overall

I've loved rotating the Adrenaline to my mix of shoes. Great cushion for longer runs and the addition of the guide rails gives extra support without adding a ton of weight.

Pretty perfect for high drop shoe

5/5

Overall

If you’re looking for a shoe with a higher drop and great midfoot support, look no further. I’ve bought two pairs of these and have been really pleased with them so far. They fit fairly true to size and accommodated and orthotic easily.

My preferred stability shoe

4/5

Overall

I’ve tried several stability shoes to help with my over pronation. The Saucony Guide ISO—didn’t feel enough support but it’s cheaper, ASICS Gel Kayano—solid shoe but the heel is very stiff, and all of Brooks stability shoes. The Brooks Beast was recommended by my PT and is pretty expensive at $160, it’s good but also felt too heavy on my feet, the Ravenna were good too and much lighter but I ran through a pair of those too quickly. The Adrenaline is just right for giving me support and lasting the right amount of miles (250-300 miles, change out every 3-4 months or so). I’m not crazy over the latest visual design of the Adrenaline and wished they kept the 19’s aesthetic that I’m reviewing here but it’s my go to shoe.

Many Brooks, this one middle of the line

4/5

Overall

Looks great, comfortable, feels a lot of the impact of the road over Ghosts and over two previous Adrenalines. Impact feel got worse quickly over time. Wear them 100% only for road running, 140 lb 10 min average mile runner with fairly even gait, shoes were shot by 260 miles and needed replacing. Not due to wear, but the cushion was smooshed. Unheard of - my previous two Brooks got replaced at much higher mileage and not because of cushioning problems, and I weighed about 10 lbs more back then too.

Brooks Adrenaline

4/5

Overall

I’ve been running in brooks adrenalines for 3-4 years now and really pushed my pairs to the limit this year. One of my pairs this year hit 1100 miles of dirt, trails, and road before it started falling apart. They’re certainly durable shoes. (Would not recommend wearing your shoes down this much though)
