Altra Lone Peak 4.5 Feedback

4/5

Overall

This shoe is comfortable and fits like a glove. The tongue is short so difficult to pull up. Great lugs on the sole which grips well in muddy wet conditions, like I experienced yesterday in a messy trail race. I wish there was more cushioning and it’s to early to tell durability. I have been a consistent user of Altras for 5-6 years but the uppers seem to always tear which is annoying. I would like to see them work on that issue. That said I’m a fan of wide toe boxes and Altra is the brand for that. I really like this shoe for trail running but I wish there was more cushioning and less issues with tearing.
