The zero drop dream

4/5

Overall

I got this shoe 5mo ago. I was dealing with some plantar fasciitis in my right foot and had to take a week off running. I needed new shoes anyway, (my nike pegasus had 450+ miles on them) and so I went and tried on several different brands because my feet are actually a little bit wider than D width but not quite 2E. I tried ON, Hoka One One, New Balance, Mizuno, Brooks, and who knows what else. The Altra was the only shoe that I felt little to no pain moving around in. The zero-drop is a huge thing for me now because I always deal with really tight calves (mid-forefoot strike) and it helps me keep the plantar fascia from getting more inflamed or strained. The only real issue(s) I had with this shoe is that it is difficult to do workouts on the track and it isn't very weather-resistant.
