Loved these shoes until my toenails turned black

Anonymous runner · Dec 5, 2023

5/5

Overall

These were the best shoes I’d ever had. No hip pain, no knee pain. Increasing mileage without issue. Thought I was done with my shoe search. Then I got 4 black toenails during a half marathon. I’ve never had this happen before. Maybe it’s the shoes? Dunno. Are they 10/10 and bruised toenails are inevitable, or should I try to find a different shoe????

Very good for easy miles but a bit expensive

Tommaso Trentini · Dec 2, 2023

Overall

very comfortable and long-lasting, perfect for those who overpronate, I recommend wearing very protective shoes like this for long easy runs even for those who are light like me: no injuries, guaranteed!

Solid Stability Shoes

Anonymous runner · Jan 24, 2020

5/5

Overall

I'm a no frills sort of person when it comes to running shoes - I just need consistent, stable, and comfortable shoes. The GT 4000s do all of this and more. I'm an overpronator who needs stability shoes, and I've always found that a lot of stability shoes are clunky and too heavy for me. These provide a lot of stability while also feeling light and close fitting to my foot. Perfect level of comfort without feeling too cushiony. I was a loyal Brooks fan for a long time (wearing the Ravenna and Adrenalines) and find that these give me what I found in Brooks in a more streamlined way. Very happy with them!
