Overall
The ASICS Magic Speed 2 are a great carbon plated neutral speed and race day shoe. The sizabley lower than super-shoe price tag with not much compromise makes them a great shoe for anyone wanting to get that extra kick to purchase. They are very responsive and feel pretty comfortable. Mine (US 12 Mens D-standard) fit true to size.

Overall, the shoe is great, It has a firm, springy midsole, pronounced rocker, and snappy carbon plates. I would recommend it to forefoot strikers needing a Tempo shoe/ budget racing shoe, but not to heel strikers due to instability and a thin heel platform, or anyone who needs an easy day shoe, or anything non-tempo, because the midsole is so firm. As I said, the midsole if firm, but it's great, if itwas any softer, the shoe wouldn't work. The heel platform is very unstable, so its a forefoot striker's shoe, but the rocker, which just rolls you forward so easily makes up for it. The upper is very breathable, a trueracing upper, but is a bit scratchy, so you have to wear socks. The outsole is amazing, I don't think I've ever slipped in this shoe, apart from when I stepped In a huge mud splat at a road relay. So overall, It's a great shoe, the value is amazing, but It's only to be used for fast running.

Overall
I’ve like ASICS since I was in high school. So when I was looking for my first super shoe trainer I was yes to give ASICS a try. Before this I mostly ran in the Nimbus. I can’t say was disappointed but definitely room for improvement. A few of my toes stick up a little higher than others and after a few hundred miles there were whole in the top of the shoe.
