Best trainer ever, Bring it back Brooks!

5/5

Overall

This shoe is totally unmatched elsewhere on the market. If you see the value in training in a lower drop shoe but cant handle big miles on a purely neutral shoe this is literally the best shoe ever made. 4mm drop, light weight, very mild posting for slight over pronators. I get 700 miles out of a pair on a regular basis. This is literally the best shoe ever made.

PureCadence: decent

4/5

Overall

The Brooks PureCadence is lightweight and makes for a great road shoe especially for any faster workouts. I even enjoy them on the track. The lack of stability does not bother me, but I could see it an issue for others. The sole is very flexible and also lightweight which steers this shoe more toward the roads than anything. I have regularly used this shoe on trails, also, without any serious issues; however, it is far from a trail shoe. Every rock can be felt and the tread is not conducive to sandy and/or slippery terrain.

Not as good as previous versions

4/5

Overall

Pros: improved tongue, good cushioning, still light Cons: upper fit not as form fitting, lace system not stretchy anymore (i liked that!), not as much apparent support, not as useful for tempo runs (looser fit)
