Brooks Pure Flow 6 review

5/5

Overall

I've tried a lot of shoes, but the Brooks Pure Flow series, especially the last few editions (6 and 7) suit my foot well. I supinate and the shoes have the flex to roll with that strike pattern. There's not a lot of cushion, but I'm pretty slender with good mechanics, so the lack of padding hasn't been an issue.

Brooks Pureflow 6

2/5

Overall

I did not like this shoe and I believe it contributed to my peroneal tendonitis. I don't have confidence in this model of Brooks and I bought this shoe because I under pronate when I run and the Pureflow 6 did not help.

Just go with the Flow, bro

4/5

Overall

Having previously run in the Brooks PureConnect 4 and PureFlow 5, I was pleasantly surprised with the upgrade here. The sole remains the same, but the comfort of the upper has been greatly increased. In the PureFlow 5s, the toe area would collapse and rub on the top of my foot, causing lots of irritation on long runs. Here, that issue has been resolved and the shoe is the most comfortable trainer I have worn. This is a fantastic neutral road shoe, and the only complaint I have would be that rocks become stuck in the gaps of the sole of the shoe. Besides that, I am very happy with the PureFlow 6.
