great middleground between traditional and minimalist

just enough cushioning for ~2hrs on road/trail foam is basic brooks eva, nothing too special but a solid pick traction is great heel cup doesn't conform to foot like the rest of the upper and sticks out, may irritate ankle either cut it out after ~200mi or buy the new nike frees lasted me(110lbs) ~600mi before cushioning sank in too much and tread began to wear out unevenly the rock plate is nice size down a half size
