Overall

Feels similar to a slightly larger version of Kinvara 5-6, my personal favorite shoe ever. Comfy and cushioned for slower running, responsive to get down to low 6s and under. I use flats for faster work, so can't really comment on that.

Hoka One One Hupana

Overall

After moving to these shoes to help resolve some injury issues, I can unequivocally say that these are the best for my specific use case (Plantar). While the shoes don't last as long as some, likely due to their over-reliance on foam-rubber cores, the comfort, lightness and road-feel are impressive to say the least. I'm now on my 4th pair of this model and have branched out into Hoka's trail shoes.

700 miles strong

Pfandistner · Nov 4, 2018

4/5

Overall

This shoe is marketed as a hybrid running/casual shoe, which is a bit silly to me, because this shoe is uglier than the average running shoe. However, they have an awesome r-bound midsole which is very bouncy, durable enough to forego a rubber outsole, and has maintained solid rebound for over 700 miles. Traction is okay as a result. The upper is comfy and simple, knit material with no overlays. These are great, simple running shoes, not recommended for style points.

Break them in

Overall

Shoes were uninspiring for the first 60 miles and a crease in the knit gave me a blister on my pinky toe, but they broken in around 60 miles and turned into a very enjoyable pair of mildly cushioned mileage trainers
