A basic, durable, comfortable running shoe

5/5

Overall

Just enough cushining for my tastes. Very responsive and extremely durable. I'm on my third pair after having retired the others at over 450 miles. It is my everyday road shoe. I run between 20 and 65 miles weekly and alternate between another shoe type, but this one is my favorite. They just feel right.

Sturdy, budget every-day trainer (especially if you have wide feet)

5/5

Overall

I picked up this shoe at a New Balance outlet in a buy-one-get-the-second-one-at-half-price deal. I wear it for 30-80 minute training runs on roads and dirt trails. I have wide feet and appreciate the great fit that the 4E width gives me. I've now logged 400 km on these shoes and they still feel great, with little signs of wear. These shoes are best for piling on the distance. They are heavy and clunky such that I do not wear them for speed work or races. The drop is substantial, which makes me nervous, but I alternate these with my speedwork shoes and trail shoes and so far have had to problems. Overall, I am very happy with these shoes for what they are -- budget trainers.
