New Balance fresh foam more

Overall

Love the shoe. It lacks tread on the bottom which makes it a bit hard to gain traction on certain surfaces (like rain on roads). Overall a fantastic shoe for an injury prone runner like me who enjoys a cushioned shoe to put some mileage in

Overall

The fresh foam more is a great recovery/easy day shoe. The shoes has tons of cushioning which saves your legs and helps me recovery from my harder efforts. Shoe is a little stiff at first but the more you run in them the more "comfortable" they feel. The shoe is a little heavy/clunky so I would not recommend wearing this shoes for workouts. I would also recommend wearing thicker socks or two socks when wearing this shoe because I feel like my foot slides around a little due to the material of the shoe.

NB does Hoka

Riccochet32 · Jul 16, 2019

Overall

This shoe is an adequate option for easy runs and great for walking around or recovery, but it just didn't find a place in my line up. The first time you look at this shoe, you immediately think of Hoka, so why fight the comparisons. Here's my take: Strengths: -Very cushioned (though less than the Hoka Bondi, this shoe's main competitor) -More Durable than a Hoka shoe. Very happy with wear (100 miles in at this point and looking good overall) -Rocker bottom design is great for runners and walkers that have arthritis issues or lack mobility in their foot and need a specific stiffer shoe. Hoka models will do this as well but for the sake of a head to head comparison, these feel stiffer than even the Bondi model Weaknesses: -$160 USD price point (versus $150 for Bondi) -Aesthetics. This shoe is ugly as sin, and while the Bondi option still retains a lot of that orthotic look, it still has a bit more style. -Not very efficient if you run in a hilly area or try to use for up tempo pace. The rocker bottom lacks the toe-off feel and is empty when trying to get onto your toes. My opinion: This shoe is a great option to try if you don't vary your pace during the week, have foot issues, or just love the Bondi but want to try a different brand. None of those applied to me, so it was a swing and miss (my favorite Hoka shoe is actually the underappreciated Cavu model). I still keep it in rotation for flat, easy runs and long days on my feet, but overall I would go in another direction - like the aforementioned Cavu, NB FF Beacon. As far as going head to head against the Bondi, it's a push, but ultimately I probably would choose the Bondi over the FF More due to the price difference and how they look. But that's just my opinion.

Great Shoe - Helps Avoid Injury

Anonymous runner · Jul 3, 2019

4/5

Overall

Not run loads in this as of yet, but it's super comfortable and a great distance jogging shoe. I've historically had a lot of calf injuries, and in these shoes I can actively feel my legs aren't as beat up after runs; I'm not the only one to say that either! They are fantastic mileage shoes, perfect for all the easy miles you'll log in a high volume phase or on easy days. However, I found that I struggle to run faster than about 6:30mins/mile in them, just because they've got so much cushioning - they're not the most responsive shoe on the market but are damn comfy. I don't really care about looks, but if you're after a stylish trainer this is not the one for you! Overall, I think they're fantastic, and a lot cheaper than the equivalent Nike or Adidas shoes.
