Fastest New Balance Racing track spike

5/5

Overall

This is the fastest shoe I've ever worn. It's simply unreasonable. I have worn this at 3 meets, 2 1600m races, 1 3200, and 1 4x800 relay. At each distance it's fantastic. You need a really efficient running form in order to gain the most out of this shoe. This is because it puts you so far up on your toes you need to be able to utilize it in order to run fast. The comfort is great because of the one piece almost feeling like knit upper. I only wore it barefoot with no blisters because it was soft like a sock. The cushioning is splendidly responsive and the full length nylon plate makes you spring forward. I can really feel the track stride by stride. If you're looking for something with a bit more cushion, look into something like the LD5k. The durability might just be one season, as it's all too easy to overturn the spikes and ruin the insert like I did. The appearance is beautiful. For overall value, it's alright but you might need a different spike next season.
