Vomero 18 for the Win!

Overall

As an injury prone runner in their late 40's, this particular model has allowed me to run injury free for over 1 year. The cushioning is legit. The tread is the less durable side, but overall this shoe provides great cushion as an every day trainer. Another negative to note, that when these shoes get wet, it takes a while to dry and they hold water while on a run (rain, Creek crossing, etc.). Compared to similar high cushion models from Asics or Hoka, these are more responsive for a more uptempo workout. I particularly like the fact that they actually feel better after about a week of use. They are an outstanding trainer that I will get again and again.

Nike Vomero 18s are surprisingly great

Overall

Best shoe I've worn in years. I was skeptical about trying a Nike daily trainer after how terrible the Pegs have been, but I was happily surprised. This shoe has the perfect toe drop, cushioning/stiffness balance and roll point. The downsides: pointy toe box and only lasts a few months. But that's about what I expect from a longevity standpoint for running shoes these days. I think these are especially good if you are a forefooot/midfoot runner and like some toe drop to support your heel. I've just bought a second pair, I hope the design stays this good with the next version.

Infinity Run successor

Overall

The shoe is overbuilt, the upper is thick and stiff and the heel collar is too padded. The midsole is too high, 46mm. The Vomero 17 was a much better shoe. The 18 is a very different shoe and more like the Infinity Run 4. If you like the feel of Reactx foam, this is the shoe for you because you don't feel Zoomx foam at all.
