Most versatile shoe I've ever owned
4/5
Overall
The Cloudmonster Hyper is my favorite shoe, but this statement requires some explanation. (personal disclusures: I am a xc/middle distance runner at a decently respected D1 institution). The Hyper is not my favorite shoe for any specific type of running. It is not as efficient and speedy as a vaporfly, nor is it as cushy as an invincible or [fill in any hoka model]. Nor is it as cheap as the boring brooks trainers that I use for daily mileage. If I could always have 3 shoes in my rotation, I probably wouldn't use the hyper. However, if I had to buy one shoe that could do EVERYTHING pretty darn well, this would be shoe. I travelled this summer, and could only fit one pair of shoes to do track workouts, long runs and daily miles, the Hyper was that shoe. Oh and another thing, I reckon you can reliably get about 600-900 miles out of these things, which is more than I can say for any of my brooks/nike shoes. They feel way better than a pair of Nike Invincibles after the 500 mile mark.
