Okay daily trainer for shorter runs

3/5

Overall

I enjoyed this shoe at first for short little easier runs here and there. But once I hit my marathon training block I had this penciled in as my daily trainer. It was working great until I tried to do my medium long run and my legs started feeling like garbage about 8-9 miles in to a 10 mile run. I’ve noticed this on two MLRs now and have decided that it can no longer be trusted for anything other than shorter base runs and recovery runs. I’ll run it through its lifespan as it’s okay for those shorter distances.

On Cloudsurfer

5/5

Overall

This the first running shoe from On that has been very soft underfoot. I was not a fan of previous On shoes because of the very firm ride. Not very forgiving if you were ever starting a run sore or fatigued. But the Cloudsurfer was so soft. Loved the shoe. Took it to 300 miles no problem. Would buy again.

Good cushioned trainer

Pleasantly surprised after maintaining healthy skepticism of on's shoes. These seem to be built for running, unlike many of their shoes which seem like lifestyle shoes to me.
