Saucony changed their sizing

Anonymous runner · Sep 28, 2025

3/5

Overall

I loved the Saucony Kinvara, Rides and Peregrine for years.  Size 9 1/2 mens.  but then they changed sizing.  Because of my slightly longer left foot the sweet spot was men's 9 1/2.  For the past few years the 9's are too short and the 9 1/2's too big.   I have now switched to Altra Lone Peaks and Outroads.  I do miss my Sauconys though.  I have 3 pairs of shoes waiting till my boy reaches size 9 men.  Ralph Havens PT Bellingham, WA USA

Good Consistent Trainer

Anonymous runner · Sep 28, 2025

5/5

Overall

I've been using this shoe since the Kinvara 11. I tend to use shoes very quickly, and this model exemplifies this, as I'll only get 250 miles or so out of each pair. If you can find a pair from the earlier model they're very cheap, so given the low use they can still be worth it. Good for all easy/medium runs. I've also never injured myself running with kinvaras, which is coming from someone fairly injury prone.

Worse than 10-12 and 14

Anonymous runner · Sep 28, 2025

3/5

Overall

Bought these on a steep discount as I greatly enjoyed the Kinvara models 10-12 and 14. These are the worst model of this series with respect to comfort. Still serviceable and I expect them to last 400 miles like the remainder of the series.

Great shoe. Fast, light, yet cushioned with low drop.

Anonymous runner · Sep 28, 2025

Overall

I love the versatility of this shoe - it covers several bases very well. Light and fast enough to race in but cushioned enough for day to day training. Neutral and 4mm drop is great for me. Not a fan of the pull up tongue tab on this version, but otherwise similar enough to previous versions that i still love this line of shoes. i do not put in more than 30 mpw so durability is not that big of a factor for me... but as noted by others, the bottom outsole is just foam that will get eaten away by the road.

A solid trainer

IrishBaron · Sep 28, 2025

Overall

I used to run in Nike Pegasus until, after continued quad troubles, I realized the Pegasus's toe drop was too steep for my form and physiology. I have run in Kinvaras since early 2022 and I have had no more quad trouble. The Pegasus is definitely a more durable shoe but the Kinvaras get the job done.
