Good but not as good as the first version

4/5

Overall

Put 400+  miles in the several pairs of the first version.   The second edition fit more true to size and was generally more comfortable, but a little too soft in the midsole for my liking.

Cushioned but surprisingly springy

This is the perfect long run shoe. Lots of cushioning while still providing a little bit of spring. It took one or two runs to feel the responsiveness, but it’s there and I love it.

Great value for money, but also a great shoe period

5/5

Overall

The reason I bought these shoes was the price, but now think that they'd still be a great choice even if they weren't such great value.

The start of the show is the dual density midsole, with Puma's Nitro foam on top and an Eva later at the bottom. This combination gives comfort and responsiveness that is entirely unexpected at this price range.

But the rest of the shoe isn't bad at all either (which in British English means it's actually very good): the outsole has the excellent Pumagrip rubber that grips really well on wet road and will have no issue in buffed/light trails, and the upper is comfortable and very clearly of good quality - expect these shoes to last for a long while.

The only downside, for my type of feet is that the shoe runs narrow and long, but that is just a personal fit thing.

If you are looking for a durable, quality daily trainer, with tons of character recommend that you do check it out.

So far so good!

5/5

Overall

Being in the market for a new all around trainer for my non workout days (easy runs around 7:05-7:30), I was looking for something different than my last Ghost Brooks.

I have noticed in the last few months a lot of noise around the PUMA shoes and have seen many people wearing them at races. I was willing to give them a  try and recently  purchased a pair of Velocity Nitro 2.

I have put so far a 100 miles on the pair and it's been a fanstastic ride. The shoe is very supportive, has a lot of caution and great grip. PUMA offers the shoe in a wide array of colors as well.
