Lots of cushioning AND structure

HalfWay · Jul 16, 2018

Overall

I bought the Hurricane ISO 3 to get lots of cushioning in the forefoot while supporting my arch for overpronation. And they do just that - motion control with loads of cushion in the heel and forefoot, while not being too heavy. I've owned 2 pair of these shoes now, trained for a full marathon and a couple of halves. I can still find some on sale, but soon I'll have to move to the newer model of the Hurricane ISO.

Daily cruiser

Overall

The Hurricance ISO3 is a good comfortable and supportive shoe for daily training. Thanks to the everun top sole (Saucony's answer to adidas boost) the sole has a good combination of cushioning and spring. While it's best for easy and long runs it's also responsive enough for tempo runs. The cushioning is on the softer side which I find preferable for daily training compared to the firmer Saucony Guide ISO which can sometimes leave my legs feeling a bit beat up. Previously my go to shoe was the Adidas Supernova Sequence 9, I'd say the Hurricane and Sequence 9 are quite similar shoes with the Sequence just slightly firmer.
