Saucony Ride ISO reveiw

5/5

Overall

This shoe provides a good balance of weight, cushioning, and durability all at an affordable price. With about 120 miles on the shoe so far the upper displays no signs of wear aside from slight discolouration due to dirt. Similarly the midsole and outsole display little wear with the only visable wear being on the softer forefoot rubber lugs. The shoe feels comfortable, your foot rest down in the midsole and the Everrun topsole adds a little bounce. The upper of the shoe fits well with the ISO fit system securing your foot while still allowing some space. The forefoot provides a roomy feel while still keeping my foot in a locked down position. The shoe, while marketed as a road shoe seems to handle light trails well. I have taken it on smooth singletrack as well as gravel roads and it seems to preform well on a variety of surfaces. I have experienced no issues with traction on wet surfaces. Overall the Saucony Ride ISO is a good option for runners seeking a neutral cushoned daily trainer. It is very durable and can be used for a variety of training from long runs to speed work. I would recommend the Ride ISO anyone looking for a durable, cushoned, and versatile shoe.

A decent pair of trainers with some issues

4/5

Overall

Picked up a pair of blue and white ISOs at Marathon Sports last spring for track. They did the job, and the extra cushioning helped get rid of my shin splints. Trained with them throughout the summer for XC and got about 200 miles in. One disadvantage to all of the extra cushioning is that it enables you to heel strike, which strains your ankle and knee. I got into the habit of slamming my feet on long runs when I felt was fatigued, and had to actively run on my mid-foot. The design is very colorful, which I like about them. You can get 350-400 miles to this pair of shoes, and it should last 3-4 months, depending on how frequently you run. Overall it's a good pair of shoes with some issues, like too much cushioning. I enjoyed my pair but will be picking up a new pair with less cushioning.

Ride Nice-O

5/5

Overall

The previous few generations of this have been rough. This generation gets back to what I loved years ago with a generous forefoot fit, snug heel and responsive cushion. they aren't marshmallows, so if you like that kind of feel, Hokas are for you. But these are my day in-day out mileage hogs.

Saucony Ride ISO Review

5/5

Overall

I purchased the Saucony Ride ISO's after a few pairs of the Ride 10's. The Ride ISO's are both comfortable and responsive for whatever runs I need to do. I wear orthotics with these shoes, and the shoes are still very comfortable. They are responsive enough to do faster tempos on the track or grass, and hold up well throughout. The one thing that I notice with these shoes, very similar to the Ride 10's, is that over time, there is slight wear to the outside of each shoe. That wear even included my transition from size 12 to size 12 with 2e width, doesn't affect running much until you really wear the shoe down. Overall, fantastic shoe which I will be sticking with for awhile!
