Very soft and flexible neutral runner that offers enough padding for long runs and is light enough for speed training.

Very soft, but slightly mushy. Nonetheless, can be used in a wide range of training runs, from tempo runs to long runs. Also, the insole is designed to be removable and there is a felt-like material underneath to improve comfort if sans-insole.

I bought these at a Skecher's outlet just to see how they felt. They're the closest thing I've found to a lightweight trainer that has good cushioning I've found since the 80s.

Overall

I have a chronic heel injury (PF). Skechers are the only shoe I've found that alleviates the problem and allows me to keep training. In addition to the Ride 3, I run in the Ultra and the Ultra LT. I've tried the Hoka with a similar outsole, but the Hoka is too narrow in all models for me.
