Supernova boost Adidas

4/5

Overall

Good solid training shoe. It does lean on the cushy side but I like it for my slower recovery/moderate days. Has a significant heel to toe drop. Pretty durable, I have ran on rocky trails and they have held up well. Also lasted me probably like 450 to 500 miles before needing to retire them.

The best high mileage recovery shoe out there

5/5

Overall

I generally use this shoe for my recovery runs and general easy runs as part of my rotation. I use the Saucony Kinvara for speed days and the Saucony Ride for long run workouts. I would say that this shoe has a lot of cushioning and a wider platform than previous Glides (6,7,8) It's almost more Hoka-like as it's softer under foot as well. I'm 5 ft 10, 150 lbs and the Boost material holds up for many miles (for me that's 600-700). I'm also a mid-foot striker and there is plenty of cushioning here. Very comfy to run in on tired legs while puting in 90-100 miles. I've also done quick runs in the shoe and for its size/weight it's quite responsive. I feel it's an improvement from the previous Glide models but it is a different shoe. There is more cushioning and the stack height seems to be a little higher.

Supernova

3/5

Overall

I bought these shoes because the mizunos i was wearing began to hurt my ankle. At the time of purchase I choose the supernova because they are a neutral shoe and softer than mizunos. After 250 miles I have bot been disappointed.

Great, except it rubs the back of my left heel

5/5

Overall

I've run in several version of the Glide/Supernova, both Adiprene and Boost. The lastest one feels great underfoot and is super-durable. The boost foam is just as good as when new, even after several hundred miles. The outsole is rugged too. I imagine I'll get 600 miles out of them, and I'm at 400 now. My only complaint is that the left one rubs the back of my heel, so I always have to rub some sort of lube on it before pulling on my sock to keep it from forming a blister.
