Good but a far cry from the past

3/5

Overall

If you have run in the previous models of the adidas Supernova (formerly the Supernova Glide, with or without Boost), then this will disappoint you. adidas changed many things that made the Glide great (durability, ride, cushioning, etc.) and have thus made a far inferior shoe. For daily mileage it gets the job done, lasting around 500-600 miles. However, for tempo runs and faster paced mileage it gets slightly sloppy. Look to the Energy Boost or the Boston to get more stability moving fast. Given how good previous models are, I can't recommend this shoe. It isn't terrible, but a far cry from years past.

Never going back

5/5

Overall

Ran in Mizuno Wave Rider's for a while but the Supernovas were on sale at Running Warehouse. I gave them a shot and loved them right away. They're clunkier version of the Rider but the Boost adds way more comfort and Support than the rider. Despite being clunky, they're light enough to do Tempos but durable enough for long runs. I wore them during my marathon build up and they held up great. I even had them on when I was thrown in a track workout. Highly recommend the shoe especially when they're on sale.

A Rival to the Pegasus

4/5

Overall

I ran primarily in Nike Pegs for all 4 years of high school, although I had brief stints in other shoes. Come college, I bought these shoes because my team is an adidas school. These are the only ones that come close to the Pegasus in terms of quality and durability. Looks-wise I don’t think any shoe beats the Peg 35s, but that doesn’t matter. My only disappointment is that Boost is not quite as amazing as many have lead me to believe.
