Good shoe.

This has a very agressive rocker effect. The newer glideride 3 feels more normal.

Overall

Purchased as a recovery day easy run shoe. No complaints on fit. Weight is noticeably high. The biggest issue is the combination of firm cushioning, lack of flexibility and stack on this shoe. I realize that the shoe isn't supposed to be flexible, but the combination of a firm ride with lack of flexibility makes it a really jarring shoe to run in. Almost everybody impacts the ground on the outside of their foot and rotates in to a flat foot. With this shoe, the rotation inward is really jarring due to the firmness of the cushioning. This is compounded by the height of the shoe, which results in additional leverage. There is a reason why most shoes at this height have very soft cushioning. Overall I found this shoe pretty rough on my joints (ankle, knee and hips).

Solid shoe, a little expensive.

Overall

I haven’t worn an ASICS since my freshmen year of high school and thought it would stay that way until I say this shoe at my local running store. Had seen the whole promotion online done by ASICS and decided I might as well try them on. Best decision ever. It feels a little weird at first with the rocker as it is a little more than the HOKA meta rocker but still similar. Have a decent amount of miles in the shoes and feel that I can still get a lot out of them. Overall, great shoe, and at a price point of $150 is worth the money.

Overall

It's been a LONG time since I ran in a pair of Asics, but as someone who was coming off some achilles and calf issues, I thought I'd give them a try. I run in them 1-2x a week, usually for an easy day (8-10mi) and/or my long (10-12 miles right now) and I'm surprised by how much I've liked them. The rocker really helps w the push-through and they have the right amount of snap/cushioning. They are definitely not light, but I have closed some of my runs going around 6:30/mile so they can respond to a quicker pace. Overall, a shoe I'll keep in my mix
