Great value shoe

Overall

The Revel is a good basic neutral shoe. It's not over-engineered; it's just right. Also, it's not too plush, which makes it feel more responsive. It's not a racing shoe, but is great for training. My only criticism is the outsole seems to wear more quickly. It wears down before the midsole is used up. I blob a little Shoe Goo on the heel over the second half of the shoe's lifespan. YMMV.

Cute shoes that hold up to lots of training

Overall

I really like these shoes a lot, more than I have liked any other running shoes I have had over the years. I have a small foot with a wide toe box and narrow heel, and these shoes fit properly and feel comfortable. I can wear thick socks or thin socks and these shoes still fit well. My only complaint is that I need to wear a sock with a heel tab because otherwise the heel rubs blisters on my ankle. These shoes have the right amount of cushion to feel comfortable, but they also have good response to the road and feel springy. My left foot tends to overpronate sometime, but these shoes are supportive without affecting my stride. I trained for a half marathon and a 50K with three pairs of these shoes in rotation, and they still feel like they have plenty of miles on them. I retired the oldest pairs and now use them for CrossFit. I used to wear ASICS, but they always felt worn out after only about 200 miles, and they changed the fit so much that they were snug in the toes, even at a half-size up. I can wear my regular size in the Brooks Revel.

The revel has an attractive price and looks nice. It's pretty durable, but it feels kind of heavy and stiff comparing to the ghost that has a similar weight
