Expensive Dad Shoes?

Overall

They're solid running shoes as one would expect. They're deceptively light for their looks, which by the way are terrible. I'm not sure why the dad shoe trend is coming into style but these are a prime example. also very expensive which isn't friendly to a college budget. Overall though the shoe performs well which is what matters at the end of the day.

I'm former competitive runner 36 years and now walk every day. I've tried to fine the best walking shoe with runner's support. I finally found the NB 1080 v8.. It meets all the Comfort, cushioning and durability i'm seeking to cover my walking exercise of 4-6 miles per day. These shoes last and hold up in all conditions.. I'm very happy with the performance.. I highly recommend this shoe for runner and especially for walking.. Thanks GC

Overall

Ran Chicago Marathon 2017 in this show. Feels good with lots of cushion out the box. Problem is if it get wet, the sole seems to get spongy. Also broke down very quickly and started to feel achilles pain not long after runs of 3+miles.

Great daily ride!

Love this as my daily ride. Great for well cushioned low intensity runs & long runs. I'll use them for everything except for workout wednesday. Big complaint is that the fit is a bit loose. I appreciate the slightly wider toebox but it feels a little wide through the midfoot, maybe too much padding on the tongue as well.

I have been running in variants of this shoe for the past 6 years, and while I have always found the shoes a bit "clunky" they do seem to provide somewhat lightweight support for a taller, "heavy-footed" runner like myself. I appreciate that they come in 2A width, and my biggest gripe is that the v8 seems to be wider than previous versions; only 2 weeks in and they are already too loose at my tightest lacing.
