Overall

Fresh Foam 1080 is such a comfortable shoe right out of the box! The mesh upper is actually has an elastic quality which gives you extra toe room without a larger/wider shoe. I am a huge fan of having more space in the toe box and these fit the bill! These really felt like a slipper when I first put them on. The cushion is was fantastic for flat road surfaces. You can feel pebbles/rocks through them so i do not recommend them for trails. I ran a full marathon training program and raced a marathon in them (actually 2 pairs). I was disappointed to see that the tread wear was quite fast compared to say the NB 880 or the Brooks Glycerin which has a more robust sole/tread. These shoes were $150.00, but well worth it! They are now a staple in my running shoe and lounging shoe rotation!
