Great bread and butter shoe

5/5

Overall

This has been my go to shoe version after version. This most recent version seems a bit narrower through the forefoot but hard to say for sure. Always get good pop and feel like I have enough cushion for marathon training.

Light and fast, with good cushioning for a flat. Used it as a part of my rotation and constantly found myself reaching for whenever I headed out the door. Great shoe that once you put it on, you forget that it’s there.

My hands down best ever marathon racing flat

5/5

Overall

I still think the v3 was the best iteration of this shoe, but the 4 and the 5 are pretty great too. Decent cushioning but still right around 7 ounces- the 5 has been my go to shoe for marathons, tempo and threshold workouts, anything fast on the roads and I want to be in the shoe. I've gotten upwards of 600 miles in 2 pairs of these, they just don't crush down (sorry, I only weigh 130 lbs) and still feel springy and good.

New Balance 1400 Review

4/5

Overall

I like this shoe because it is very light and responsive. It’s light enough for track work outs and for races but I have also used it for runs up to 14 miles.
