How settled the rating is against every other rated shoe. A shoe can rate high on confidence with relatively few reviews of its own when its product line has a long record and external ratings from retailer sites agree. Confidence will score low when we have few ratings or when runners disagree.

Moby Dick

5/5

Overall

It was on sale at sports basement and relatively inexpensive anyway. I like lighter shoes. I like the fact there isn't much of a heel. They don't make me heel strike like a lot of shoes. I think this shoe is the spiritual successor to the Fast Twitch but I don't really follow running shoes anymore because I realized the level of running I did before (~90 miles a week at a DI program, hash tag humble brag) was not healthy, physically or mentally. So as you can tell I probably have a "fuck that noise" attitude towards most aspects of runner culture. But I still like Saucony after all that bullshit so this shoe must be doing something right.

Type A was great till they updated it

4/5

Overall

I started running in Type A4 and every update was great till they turned to the 7 which they dropped the number from and the shoe began to fall apart very very quickly. The material doesn't hold up the way it did and rips pretty early on in the toe area.
