How settled the rating is against every other rated shoe. A shoe can rate high on confidence with relatively few reviews of its own when its product line has a long record and external ratings from retailer sites agree. Confidence will score low when we have few ratings or when runners disagree.

perfect trail trainer

5/5

Overall

low profile and lightweight enough to wear for longer runs, with excellent cushion for trails and great toe grippiness. well suited to slicker trail conditions too. Just the perfect trail runner.

A bit clunky

4/5

Overall

The shoe is very comfortable and well cushioned, maybe too cushioned. There is certainly too much padding around the ankle/top of the heel. Mine bunched up in one shoe. While the Wildhorse 2 felt like a real running shoe, but lacked durability, the footbed of the Wildhorse 3 is too stiff, but seems very (extremely) durable. Overall a great shoe for running trails with at least some technical aspects. But not a true running shoe for cruising in your smooth rhythm.

Wildhorse 3

5/5

Overall

I have owned a few pairs of these and find that they are great for rugged trail running. Durability has been very good for me with the weak spot being the tread on the sole has been worn down after about 700km of trail and mountain running. I like the wide toe box and fairly cushioned ride.
