Pros

  • Reviewers report faster race times and fresher legs afterwards.
  • Bouncy cushioning at 6.6 oz suits half marathons and marathons.
  • Cushioning is the highest-rated dimension across twenty-seven reviewers, at 4.9 out of 5.

Cons

  • Durability is its lowest-rated dimension at 3.7 out of 5, and reviewers say the outsole wears fast enough that most keep it for racing.

  • Three reviewers feel unstable on the tall platform, one of them badly enough to stop running for two weeks.

Fast, Fun, but the Fit could be Improved

5/5

Overall

I love this shoe! It feels easier to run in, my splits are better, I run with better form, and I recover faster. It also holds up in wet weather much better than the Vaporfly 4%. However, I do wish the toe box was a bit wider and that the fit was a little more snug around the ankle. It seems everyone feels like if they size down it is too small and if they size up it is too big. Overall, it is the performance that matters most - but with a few tweaks this shoe could be a 10/10! Thanks.

Believe the hype

5/5

Overall

I've run in a lot of shoes that promised to make you run faster, but this was the first time one delivered. You feel how soft the foam is walking around, but the ride is perfect once you're up to speed. I'm saving these for races and a few key workouts, but I'm looking forward to the next chance I have to wear them.

Live up to the hype

5/5

Overall

Anyone who doesn't acknowledge that these shoes are crazy fast is kidding themselves, but I was still going to hold out on getting them for my recent half marathon. I gave in though after watching Kosgei break the women's marathon WR in Chicago 5 weeks before my race. I had a goal time in mind for the half and thought I had maybe a 25-30% chance of achieving it on the day before I bought these. After one little tempo to test them out, I gave myself a 50+% chance--they were that good. I ended up crushing my goal by 25 seconds even though there were consistent 15mph winds the whole race. I honestly think I would not have done it without the shoes. At the very least they cancelled out the negative effect of the wind. I hate to give them that much credit, but they are for real.

One run so far

5/5

Overall

I bought these and only plan to wear them for races. I have done one 10 mile test on them at marathon pace and felt absolutely amazing. Somehow these are soft and fast. Was casually talking with my coach who rode a bike with me the entire way. The shoes are so good it is making me almost rethink my goal time for race day! I cannot speak on durability of the shoes yet, because of only one run.
