Overall

The Puma FAAS 300v2 has an 8mm drop (advertised) from heel to ball of foot. That's substantially less than the typical 13mm. That's the first thing I like about them. Second is the flexibility of the sole. They aren't as flexible as Body Glove water socks but are nowhere near as stiff as New Balance. They are lightweight, weighing well under 10 oz. And finally, you can wear them without socks without much chance of getting your feet chafed. I've used them for everything from running pavement to tracks to a steep and rocky trail.

Overall

I've put a lot of miles on it (trail/track/pavement). I almost always modify my shoes by cutting off the top of the heel so that it doesn't irritate my achilles. I try to find shoes with flexible soles and an 8mm or less drop from heel to ball.

I wore these when I had custom orthotics. Wore them for races 5k-half marathon.

Lightweight but with enough cushioning. The only concern is durability.

Overall

Lightweight and flexible. Much better for runs on soft grass than roads although I can manage roads at a base pace for an hour. Takes about 100 miles before they really feel comfortable and great. They last about 400-500 miles and could go longer since I run mostly on soft surfaces with these shoes.
