Adidas solar glide 19

Overall

I run about 50 - 55 miles a week and am on my second pair of solar glides. Overall, I like the shoe. It’s does not feel bulky or over-cushioned like many other shoes on the market. There is not a lot of cushioning in the fore-foot which I like. It’s not a lightweight trainer, however it does not feel heavy on quicker paced runs. Although I don’t use them for tempo based efforts. The solar glide is comfortable right out of the box and feel close to the old supernova glides from a few years back. Durability is an issue as I went through my first pair at only 350 miles or so. I’ve been running in Adidas for about 17 years and the Solar Glide is definitely an upgrade from the last generation Supernovas.

Fantastic looking shoe at a great price point. I'd like just a little bit more cushioning so that it could handle my longest runs, but overall a great shoe for the money.

Glide All Day

Overall

100 miles in. No/ minimal signs of wear on the outsole. Great cushion for every day and marathon pace runs. Upper feels and looks great. Not as breathable as other pairs I’ve owned, but I haven’t had it become a problem.

Adidas Solar Glide 19 - Solid Shoe

Overall

Overall good shoe. Balanced, responsive cushioning throughout, not too soft and not too firm. It is not a lightweight shoe by any means but smooth ride makes it feel lighter on foot than it actually is. The shoe is comfortable but the heel takes a bit of getting used to as the heel counter does not go all the way around. There is stretchy fabric that runs up the achilles tendon which doesn't provide for the traditional "locked down" feeling. The width will accommodate most feet but probably best suits a medium width.
