a bit outdated, but excellent

Overall

Found a deadstock pair of these in a warehouse and put ~1000 miles on it before throwing it away. Adidas could've used more boost foam in the forefoot, but cushioning and tread held up extremely well. Upper is a standard mesh and holds the foot well. Those with a wider foot might consider sizing up. Classic ride, handles almost like an adidas soccer shoe. Great for daily mileage, though most people might like extra cushioning, especially on pavement. For speed sessions, this shoe is quite nimble but the wedge of heavier boost foam towards the back drags the shoe's center of gravity downward, which is much more noticeable at faster paces. Overall an excellent daily trainer for those who prefer a thinner shoe and happen to find one on sale somewhere. As the newer adidas bostons have nearly twice the cushioning, the adidas adios is the closest modern parallel.

Best All Around Shoes I've Ever Worn

Anonymous runner · Sep 28, 2025

Overall

The update from Boston 5 to Boston 6 took an already great shoes and made it even better. This shoe is the perfect weight to be durable and long lasting, but also not weight me down for speed work. I personally use this shoe for long runs all the way down to workouts around 5k pace, and then I prefer something a bit lighter. I think these are also a pretty killer looking shoe. The upper feels really good, and fits very comfortably.

Very good general running shoes. Suitable for all kind of basic running: track repeats, road races, base mileage.

I have had 2 pairs of these and put 600 miles in each. I use them for everything from tempos to a 50k race. The cushioning is just enough which is how I like it and I love the overall weight and feel of the shoe.

Boston's are best running shoe I have ever had

Anonymous runner · Sep 28, 2025

Overall

Amazing feel straight out of the box. Great neutral cushioned ride in a lightweight shoe. I am a bigger runner ( 185 - 190 lbs) so they only last for about 300 miles for me before the midsole breaks down.
