An excellent choice for the 10km-marathon range as a racer, and for tempo/track session.

5/5

Overall

I have run in the Altra Escalante Racer for some time now, and it is my favorite Altra model to date. It has enough cushioning for a half-marathon, and if you are an efficient runner a marathon would be fine too. It has an incredible amount of "pop", and the upper is spacious while still being secure. It is aesthetically pleasing to the eye, and I really like the colors that it is available in. I can heartily recommend this shoe for anyone looking for a go-to racer, or faster effort shoe.
