Large toe-box shoes to accommodate Correct Toes

4/5

Overall

I wear this shoe because the wide toe-box can accomadate Correct Toes toe spacers, which have eliminated by need for prescription orthotics. I found the shoes for sale from a discount retailer and stocked up on 3 pairs. The shoes aren't particularly durable, but they do last ~500 miles, which is good enough for me. I am not associated with Correct Toes in any fashion, but I do highly recommend them to people who have experience foot deformities caused in part by modern foot wear.

Altra Torin

5/5

Overall

I used the Torin as a recovery/easy day shoe, and preferred it for slower paces. It was my first zero drop shoe, so I limited runs to 4-7 miles. I love the wider toe box and the cushioning. It is comfortable without feeling too squishy or with a huge stack height. I don't think I would prefer it for anything faster, because my foot was a little loose in it and I think it is too soft for faster running.

Solid Daily Trainer

4/5

Overall

These shoes are very comfortable and became go to shoe for me for slower training runs. I was a little disappointed the midsole didn't last a little longer. At about 400 miles, I found the midsole under forefoot to start to feel very flat and lots it's bounce a bit. Otherwise shoes were excellent and good value. I've had two pairs.
