Very Solid, Natural Shaped Shoe

5/5

Overall

Overall I really like the Torin 3.5 by Altra. It fits my flat and straighter foot really well. I know some people hate how Altra laces are so long, but they are fine by me. This shoe is deep enough to really hug my foot well, but it doesn't feel restrictive in anyway. The cushioning is great for runs of any and all lengths and the shoe is light enough that I think you could easily race in it for longer distances. Add in that it is zero drop and has a wide toe box and I'm a huge, huge fan.

Slightly Cushioned but still responsive daily trainer

4/5

Overall

I obtained this shoe after trying the Hoka Clifton 3 and finding that my right pinky toe was experiencing pain. I went to my LRS with this information and they pointed me to the Altra Torin. I wanted something that was cushioned enough to not beat me up during my easy runs ( I average a 9:30/mi - 10:00/mi pace) and although this is not nearly as cushioned as the Hoka's it has really fit the bill. I am enjoying logging miles in this shoe and would definitely recommend it.
