Durable workhorse

Overall

The ghost is my old reliable shoe — lasts well, has enough room in the toe box, not too expensive, doesn’t bother my high arched feet (sometimes a shoe slams down on my instep but the ghost doesn’t do this).

it’s not a lightweight shoe in any way, which suits me just fine. also can double as my regular daily walkaround shoe.

Brooks Ghost 14 - an oldy, but a goody

Overall

First off, I was able to get the prior year’s model and save over $40 in the process, something I recommend to those who don’t want to pay full price. I was very happy with the Brooks Ghost 14’s in every facet functionally, with my only remotely negative comment being that they are a drab dark color (but better for getting dirty, I guess). As a recreational 5k runner, these shoes provided were great in providing all of the stability, balance and cushioning that I would ever need. Hence, I recommend them to any recreational runners like myself (who run 5k’s and belong to a running club or two). Thank you and enjoy your run!

A downgrade of a previously optimal trainer

The company changed the design of the shoe on the BG 14 vs. the BG 13 and earlier models, and the 14 strikes my upper foot bone, must be worn almost unlaced, very loosely laced, for comfort.
