Overall

I have been using the Ravenna series since 2012. Ran the 2013 Chicago and 2014 Boston, and 2015 Portland Marathons in Ravennas. They have good durability (ran up to 500 miles a pair), not too heavy, and work well with my orthotics (I have flat feet and overpronate). Outsole held up well except under the forefoot. That seemed to noticeably rub off after 200 miles but I am a midfoot striker and push off on my toes so it could just be my style put extra pressure on it. No break in period needed and the shoe feels good on recovery runs up to marathon pace work (7:10 per mile for me). Comfortable fit and good lacing system to lock the shoe in place. Can usually find then for 30% or more off the MFG sale price which makes them a great bargain.

Its a very good shoe, however it tends to fray a lot and the tongue slips. I have also found that the width can be inconsistent.

I've ran in the Ravenna 4, 5 and now 6. The shoes hug my feet without being too tight. There's enough padding on the tongue and around the ankle, and has a mid strap/lace for the laces that helps you tighten the fit around your mid-foot. The shoes aren't really heavy. I've had really good experiences with each version and look forward to running with the Ravenna 7s.
