Solid versatile shoe for city running

5/5

Overall

I got this shoe to see if it would help ease my running on steep downhills in San Francisco. It beat my expectations, and I didn’t realize how much nicer running down steep roads could be until I tried these (Hokas). As for why I chose Rincons, I wanted a shoe that could be used for workouts (tempos, track intervals, long progression runs) as well as recovery runs, and these were great. Some people say I’m silly for running down to mile pace workouts in these, but hey, they feel good and I don’t get injured. The color schemes are versatile too, so you can find a pair that fits your personality.

Hoka Rincon, best so far.

5/5

Overall

I used to run in the Nike Pegasus. That shoe sold more than all the other Nike running shoes combined. So what did Nike do? They changed it!  Now, it suuuucks. I like Hoka Clifton and lately the Rincon 3. They are nice lightweight trainers. Too many running shoes are "too much shoe"  These are not.  Let's face it, all running shoes today are expensive. These are not cheap, but man they are comfortable.

I like this shoe, but they don't last very long and are a little bit bulky.
