This shoe finally allowed me to get over the Hoka Clifton 1... Bravo!

Overall
So it's not quite as marshmallow squishy as the Clifton 1 (although I think it's close), but that's it! It's lightweight, well-cushioned, and has that same propulsive feeling that the Clifton 1 had. It also doesn't give me the signature Hoka blisters that the Clifton one gave me, so yep, I'm finally over that particular shoe. I own three pair of the Zoom Fly and the only thing I can complain about is my concern regarding the foam breaking down. I'm a lightweight female, but I still end up with a lot of foam creasing (early on in the shoe's life) on the lateral heel. Even with the creases, however, the shoe still feels cushy and snappy, so maybe there is no real reason to worry. I'm a big shoe rotator, so I haven't actually retired a pair of these yet. I do use a mild orthotic (Cuerex Sole Runpro High) in these because I have silly high arches. Even with the orthotic, I still found this shoe to be true to my standard running shoe size, although I probably could go up 1/2 size. I'd recommend this shoe for anyone looking for something cushy and responsive AND for Hoka Clifton 1 wearers who are tired of waiting for the return of our little gem.
